Singletracks : MTB racing 2017
Singletracks was a series of mountainbike trial events initiated by my brother Murray Anderson, for secondary scho0ol students from the Christchurch area. Run over 6 weeks it involved up to 180 students racing in various grades over several laps of a cross country style course.
Marty managed to capture some fantastic imagery, on three of the days initially at Rapaki, and then later at the course behind Halswell Quarry. Plenty of good spots to capture the intensity and emotion of racing against others with a grinding up hill and some great challenges on the descent. Utilising off camera flash, and the ambient light of the sun going down made for some epic shots on the corner, while the converging of two tracks on the uphill produced some great snaps.
